The journal desk.
Submit a manuscript, answer an invitation to review, or handle the papers in front of you. Review is double-blind, and the blinding is kept by the database rather than by this page.
The journal is not open yet
The Centre has not opened the journal for submissions. When it is open, this page is where a manuscript is submitted and where an invitation to review arrives.
You do not have to be a member to submit.
Reading this journal is free for everybody and there is no submission fee either way. What differs is what publication costs once a paper has been accepted.
Corresponding Author
£50 on acceptance
A CISBM number in its own series, which is what a submitting author needs: something to put on correspondence and quote in a query. It is not a membership. It carries no progression level, no vote and no right to name CISBM as an affiliation, and it is not in the way of applying for one later.
Member of the Centre
Nothing to pay
Registered Membership is free and open to apply for. A member publishes here without a fee, and membership carries everything else the Centre does: training, the progression levels, the councils and the right to name CISBM as an affiliation once it is earned.
Start a new manuscript
You are shown the paper and the blinded copy, and nothing that says who wrote it. Write the comments the author will read separately from the comments meant for the editor alone.
Every manuscript the journal holds. Assign it, invite reviewers, decide it with a letter, and publish it once it is accepted. You cannot decide a manuscript you submitted yourself.
